Nestldown is a beautiful venue tucked into the tall redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The ceremony site is framed by a trellis with a lake behind. There are some humorous touches with a topiary garden and small playhouse. A mini train can carry the bride and groom to the reception and guests for a ride around the property. A second pond teeming with coi is next to the reception “barn.” Thomas John catering is always about artistic presentation, great flavors, and attentive service.

Thunder and lightning took down a giant redwood tree at the Edgewood Golf Course where the reception was held, but couldn’t dislodge the wedding from its spot next to the lake. Canadian geese tried to crash the party. Groomsmen took a wake-up dip in the icy-blue waters.
